Like a flower
Built upon ground-breaking work from decades ago: Cathode-ray tubes! Rethinking display-technology by using vector-graphics instead of pixel-mechanisms to tinker and play in a vintage fashion!
In prior days of electrical engineering you were not able to store signals inside your oscilloscope in gneral; there was typically no way to know, what your voltages are doing, if your signals are not periodic. If you are working in an electronics lab nowadays you wouldn't want to miss your DSO. Altrhough those cathode-ray oscilloscopes are for no good use in a modern measurement environment, they still have a very distinct charme which we want to bring new live with POPPI.
A second spring
With POPPI we are able to refit retro oscilloscopes in order to play games like PONG or basically anything that you want to implement with the vector-graphics display. A software environment, specifically designed for ease of use and expandability will allow you to built your own games and get creative with your limited capabilities of the oscilloscope screen.
Vector Graphics
By thinking of images like a collection of geometries rather than an array of pixels you get a novel perspective on computer-graphics.
Imagine an artist redrawing each frame for display purposes and compare it to the animator, who draws a character and edits only specific parts for each frame. Why would you draw the whole image, if just a specific part of a frame has changed?
